Man Men And Game Of Thrones Land Nominations For ASC TV Awards

Hit TV shows Mad Men and Game Of Thrones are among the nominees set to battle it out at the upcoming American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) Awards.
The advertising drama, starring Jon Hamm and January Jones, will go up against fantasy series Game of Thrones, Fringe, recently-axed Alcatraz, and British programs Hunted and Strike Back for best one-hour episodic television series or pilot.
Kevin Costner’s Hatfields & McCoys has received a nod in the television movie/miniseries category alongside Nicole Kidman’s Hemingway & Gellhorn, American Horror Story: Asylum, and Great Expectations.
In the category for best half-hour episodic series or pilot, The New Normal will compete against Kristen Bell and Don Cheadle’s House of Lies, Wilfred, Happy Endings and Ben and Kate.
The nominations for the movie categories will be unveiled on 9 January.
The prizes will be handed out at a ceremony in Los Angeles on 10 February.
