Singer/actress Mandy Moore is desperate to run her own yak farm after becoming obsessed with the milk the animals produce while climbing Mount Everest.
The This Is Us star celebrated America’s Memorial Day holiday at the base camp of the world’s highest peak in Nepal back in May (19), and during the trip, she developed a real liking for yak milk.
“They have yak milk tea, which I became obsessed with and wanted to, like, open a yak farm when I got home,” she told U.S. late night host Jimmy Kimmel.
And Moore insists it’s not just the taste which has her gushing about the “delicious” drink: “Cow’s milk hurts my stomach, but yak’s milk was fine,” she said. “Maybe I (will) get a yak… The dogs running around, the yak in the backyard.”
However, Moore’s yak dreams may have to wait as she and her husband, musician Taylor Goldsmith, are currently putting the finishing touches to her first album in a decade.
“We’ve written the whole record together,” Moore shared. “He’s playing all on the album (sic). We’re gonna go on tour together. It’s pretty cute!”
She wed Dawes frontman Goldsmith last year (18).
