Rapper Gucci Mane has been released from jail after prosecutors opted not to pursue obstruction and traffic charges against him.
The star, real name Radric Davis, was arrested on Tuesday in his native Atlanta, Georgia after cops spotted him driving a Hummer vehicle recklessly on the city’s Northside Drive.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution newspaper, Davis pulled up outside a repair shop and started arguing with an unknown man as police arrived to question him.

The officers attempted to intercede but had to use pepper spray to subdue the angry rap star, who was then taken to a nearby hospital and onto Fulton County Jail, where he was booked on charges of damage to government property, obstruction, driving without a license, reckless driving, running a red light or stop sign, failure to maintain a lane and driving on the wrong side of the road.

Davis was released on Wednesday after prosecutors announced they would not pursue the multiple traffic charges or the obstruction allegation.

According to a judge, charges against the rapper could be reinstated later.

The arrest came just six months after Davis was released from prison, where he served time for a parole violation. This summer, the troubled rapper reportedly checked into rehab to deal with an alleged cocaine addiction.
