Sir Paul McCartney took an emotional trip down memory lane on Sunday by re-living his Beatles bandmate George Harrison’s career at the U.K. premiere of Martin Scorsese’s new movie.
The Goodfellas director screened his biopic of the My Sweet Lord hitmaker – George Harrison: Living in the Material World – at dual premieres in London and Liverpool, England on Sunday night.

McCartney was joined at the London event by his fellow surviving Beatle Ringo Starr, Harrison’s widow Olivia, and John Lennon’s wife Yoko Ono, and he admits watching the movie of his late pal’s life was an emotional experience.

He tells the BBC, “(Harrison) was my little mate on the school bus when he was very little. And we were both very little, mind you. But it does bring back a lot of fond memories. He is a lovely boy and he is sorely missed by us all.”
