Glee star Matthew Morrison has revealed his new song Summer Rain was inspired by a saucy moment on a rooftop.
The TV actor explains he once enjoyed sex in the open air with an ex and he wanted to capture the magic moment in a song on his debut album.

He explains, “I wanted to capture a moment in time that I had with an ex-girlfriend… It was such a beautiful moment and it was about being young and in New York. It’s something that when I’m 65, I’ll look back and be like, ‘That was an awesome moment’.

“I really wanted to make a song out of it; it was actually the first song I wrote on the album.”

Morrison’s self-titled album, which features a collaboration with Elton John, is released in May.
