Rockers Muse have confirmed they will be performing live at the star-studded Olympics finale in London on Sunday.
The trio will perform new tune Survival, which was composed specifically for the London 2012 Games.
Drummer Dom Howard tells, “It’s not something we just did for the Olympics. They sowed a seed by asking us to do some music but then five months went by. We showed them a few songs when they asked us about (playing the) closing ceremony and they loved it. It represented the enormous competition of what the Olympics is.”
Muse will join The Who, George Michael, Jessie J, Ed Sheehan and the Spice Girls at the closing ceremony spectacular, while Blur will headline a concert in London’s Hyde Park after the finale.
