An overzealous Willie Nelson fan was arrested prior to his gig in Florida on Wednesday night after she ran past security in a bid to greet the singer.
Local woman Gina Julian frustrated bodyguards at the Sunrise Theater in Daytona Beach by sitting at the entrance door to wait for the veteran country star despite being given “numerous requests to leave”.

Officers then escorted the 45 year old outside of the security perimeter, but when Nelson stepped off his tour bus, Julian rushed towards the musician, reports

One security guard reportedly jumped a fence to intervene and she was held face down on the floor as Nelson entered the venue.

Julian then reportedly refused handcuffs and struggled, before police officers eventually took her to the nearby St. Lucie County Jail.

She is charged with resisting officers without violence and trespassing after warning, as well as possession of marijuana, and she is being held on $1,500 bail.
