British pop star Lily Allen is dealing with an outbreak of norovirus at home as she copes in the days after giving birth.
The Smile singer, also known by her married name of Lily Rose Cooper, gave birth to her second daughter Marnie last Tuesday and subsequently went public with fears the little girl was suffering from jaundice.
Allen claimed to have been left without care after being discharged from hospital and was unable to set up an appointment for a midwife to check on the baby, and she has now revealed her problems have been worsened by a winter vomiting bug.
The singer is dealing with an outbreak of norovirus, a viral infection that causes acute nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea.
She writes in a post on her page, “Norovirus in the house. Uh oh.”
However, Allen was finally visited by a midwife on Tuesday, three days after publicly complaining about the lack of care given by Britain’s National Health Service (NHS), and was reassured about Marnie’s health.
She adds, “The midwife came this morning and everything is fine. Thank you everybody.”
Allen is also mother to 14-month-old daughter Ethel with her husband Sam Cooper.
