A representative for Lisa Marie Presley has silenced reports the singer disapproves of her actress daughter Riley Keough’s rumoured fiance Alex Pettyfer, insisting there is “no truth” to the allegations.
Elvis Presley’s granddaughter Keough began dating the British actor after meeting on the set of new male stripper movie Magic Mike, and the couple was said to have become engaged earlier this month after a six month romance.

An article in the new National Enquirer suggests Presley is not happy with their plans to wed and has been pleading with Keough, 22, to call off the engagement.

But the star’s spokesperson has dismissed the claims, telling, “There is no truth to the latest National Enquirer completely made up story that Lisa doesn’t like Alex Pettyfer, quite the contrary.”

And the trio put on a united front on Wednesday as they attended a listening party for Presley’s new album, Storm and Grace, at the Village Recording Studio in Los Angeles.

The King’s daughter even poked fun at the rumours by pretending to strangle Pettyfer in front of photographers at the event.
