A truck belonging to troubled country star Randy Travis has been founded wrecked and abandoned in Texas.
A banged up Chevrolet truck registered to the singer was discovered in a field behind a Walmart store in Frisco on Saturday morning.
However, the Grammy winner’s lawyer, Larry Friedman, insists his client is not responsible for the vehicle’s condition, claiming the 53 year old has not driven the car in several weeks.
Friedman tells local publication the Dallas Morning News, “He hasn’t been in that truck or seen that truck in about three months. This has nothing to do with Randy whatsoever.”
No charges have been filed and authorities are currently investigating the incident.
This is the latest in a string of bizarre legal problems for the star – on Friday he was cited for simple assault following an alleged altercation with his girlfriend and her estranged husband, and earlier this month he was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, hours after he allegedly was found to be naked wandering around a convenience store.
