Rap superstar Lil Wayne has been slapped with a new lawsuit over allegations of unpaid royalties stemming from a 2008 collaboration with T-Pain.
Production duo Play-N-Skillz provided the beat for Got Money, the Lollipop hitmaker’s popular single with T-Pain, but claim they are owed at least $1 million from its release and inclusion on Wayne’s album Tha Carter III.

The song proved to be such a big hit, Korn frontman Jonathan Davis even interpreted it for rock audiences.

Play-N-Skillz first brought up the issue of non-payment in 2009, but the two parties have failed to make any progress in the months since, forcing the producers to file suit this month, reports AllHipHop.com.

It’s the second legal battle stemming from Tha Carter III to surface within a week – producer David Kirkwood recently launched legal action over allegations of outstanding payments and royalties surrounding sales of the hit album.
