Producer Ryan Leslie has been hit with a lawsuit after allegedly failing to hand over $1.18 million to the good Samaritan who found his laptop.
The R&B singer/songwriter was originally ordered to pay Armin Augstein $1 million in November after he offered the generous sum as a reward for the safe return of his lost computer, which was discovered in Germany in 2010.
A New York judge later agreed to add on interest for the two years Augstein spent fighting the case, and now the Grammy nominee has been accused of hiding his assets in a bid to dodge the bill.
Augstein filed legal papers at Manhattan Supreme Court on Monday in a bid to finally secure the massive payment, according to the New York Daily News.
