The Terminator Arnold Schwarzenegger has stalled California’s first execution in five years.
The former action man-turned-Governor issued an order on Monday delaying the execution of Albert Greenwood Brown, Jr., a convicted rapist and murderer, by one day.

Schwarzenegger cited procedural reasons for the temporary reprieve, stating that an appeals court decision allowing the execution to be carried out would not take effect until Thursday.

The reprieve ends at 11:59pm on Wednesday.

Brown was convicted in 1982 of raping and strangling a missing teenager.
