Jerry Seinfeld’s foray into theater directing has proved a big success – his one-man comedy show starring Colin Quinn is transferring to Broadway.

The Seinfeld funnyman took charge of Colin Quinn’s Long Story Short when it opened at New York’s Bleecker Street Theater in June.

The show ran for eight weeks but it will now open in the Big Apple’s famous theater district for an 11-week stint this winter.

Previews kick off at the Helen Hayes Theater on 22 October and it will officially launch on 9 November.
