Sharon Osbourne is urging fans to be more open about their bowel problems as part of a new campaign to raise awareness of cancer.
The America’s Got Talent judge won her battle against colon cancer in 2003, and now she is backing a new drive, Be Clear on Cancer, by Britain’s Department of Health. The scheme encourages people to go to their doctors if they notice anything different when they visit the bathroom.
She says, “For goodness sake – we’ve all got a bum and we all poo, so get over it. The sooner bowel cancer is caught, the more likely the chance of survival.
“That is why everyone needs to just look out for the symptoms and head straight to the doctor if you are worried about anything. Early detection could save your life.”
