American Idol creator Simon Fuller has settled his copyright lawsuit against bosses behind rival reality TV show The X Factor.
The 52 year old launched legal action against network executives at Fox Broadcasting Company in 2011, claiming he deserved financial compensation and a producer credit on the U.S. version of The X Factor as the series was strikingly similar to the Idol franchise he created in both America and the U.K.
However, both parties have now come to an undisclosed agreement and the case was recently dismissed at Los Angeles Superior Court, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
