Britney Spears’ new single is already a record-breaker – Hold It Against Me has garnered the highest number of radio plays in one day.
Spears released her highly-anticipated track on Monday and the new single became an instant success, shooting to the top of America’s iTunes digital chart on the first day it was available, before falling to second place.

The song also shattered all previous one-day airplay records on Monday.

A spokesperson for radio analysts Musicrunch says, “Top 40 outlets across the country immediately put Hold It Against Me in rotation and received instant-reaction airplay at America’s most-influential stations including Z100 and WXRK in New York and KIIS and KAMP in Los Angeles.”
