Britney Spears has called on her fans to pray for tourmate Nicki Minaj after the rapper’s cousin was murdered in New York.
The hip-hop sensation’s relative Nicholas Telemaque was gunned down in the early hours of Monday after leaving a club in his native Brooklyn.

Minaj shared her grief with devotees on Twitter.com following the news of the 27 year old’s death, calling him “my precious cousin”, “my baby”.

She put aside her pain on Monday night to perform on Spears’ Femme Fatale tour stop in Winnipeg, Canada, and the Toxic hitmaker is urging their fans to continue sending Minaj their best wishes and blessings.

In a post on her Twitter.com blog on Tuesday night, Spears writes, “Please keep Nicki Minaj & her family in your prayers… keep up the amazing love and support you guys have for her.”

New York police have launched an investigation into Telemaque’s death but have yet to make any arrests.
