Sigourney Weaver, Cynthia Nixon and Geena Davis have been invited to perform in a presidential-themed stage show to raise funds for Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.
Director Mick Nichols is to helm the production, in which stars who have played the President, First Lady or a member of the White House-dwelling family onscreen, will perform for Obama’s wife Michelle.
Weaver played the First Lady in 1993’s Dave, Nixon was the President’s daughter in Tanner ’88, and Davis portrayed a fictional first female leader in TV show Commander in Chief.
James Earl Jones and Cherry Jones are also in talks to perform at the event in New York on Wednesday, with tickets costing between $500 and $5,000.
