Actors Matthew Mcconaughey and Jada Pinkett Smith are calling on fans to pay tribute to the lives lost in the tragic Connecticut school shooting last week by holding a moment of silence this Friday.
Eva Longoria and supermodel Tyra Banks have also vowed to take part in the remembrance, a week aftergunman Adam Lanza massacred 20 kids and six staffmembers at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown.
The stars retweeted the message: “Join me in observing a #momentforSandyHook victims, in silence, this Friday at 9:30am ET”, and Pinkett Smith added, “May tomorrow also be in remembrance of all of those who have lost lives to senseless violence. #momentforSandyHook”
Lanza, 20, is also believed to have killed his own mother before turning the gun on himself.
