Rocker Rod Stewart chose to have his young son Aiden baptised in Scotland as a tribute to his beloved father.
The Maggie May hitmaker’s dad Robert was born in the country’s capital Edinburgh and the singer vowed to pay homage to his roots by heading back to the city for ten-month-old Aiden’s christening.

Stewart and his wife Penny Lancaster gathered their friends and family for the festive ceremony earlier this month, and they even wore traditional tartan outfits as another nod to the rocker’s ancestry..

Lancaster tells Britain’s Hello! magazine, “We had it in Edinburgh, because that’s where Rod’s father was born. We wanted to pay homage to Aiden’s roots.”
