Streep Is Marie Curie In New Play

Meryl Streep is tackling science in her latest role – she is set to play physicist/chemist Marie Curie in a star-studded new play.
The Hollywood actress will take on the title role for a special reading of Alan Alda’s Radiance: The Passion of Marie Curie, which will also boast Amy Adams, Allison Janney, and Liev Schreiber in the cast.

The drama explores Curie’s career studying radioactivity as well as her tumultuous private life.

The performance will be held to mark the opening of the World Science Festival in New York City on 1 June.
