The Strokes’ private gig in Beverly Hills on Wednesday night was scrapped after just a handful of songs – because the New Yorkers were too loud.
City officials responded to noise complaints about the corporate T-Mobile gig and shut the tented show down at midnight.

Taking to after the show, guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. tweeted, “Fire marshall bill shut us down. i was hoping they would drag us off or cut all the power mid song. i wonder who called??”
