An outdoor concert due to feature Sugar Ray and Lifehouse has been cancelled in the wake of Hurricane Irene.
Both bands were due to headline the annual Town of Trumbull Concert Series in Connecticut on 10 September, along with pop band Gin Blossoms.

But the gig has been axed after Irene swept across the East Coast last weekend, causing severe damage to Indian Ledge Park, the venue where the gig was to be held.

A statement from organisers reads, “We apologize (sic) for any inconvenience caused by this act of God. We hopefully will be able to continue our concert series next year.”
