Pop star Taylor Swift has shown off her generous side and donated 6,000 books to a library in Pennsylvania.
The Love Story hitmaker was born in the city of Reading and she’s giving back to the area by re-stocking the local facility with $68,000-worth of reading material.

It is hoped the collection of books, which was chosen by workers at the learning establishment, will help boost the economically-troubled library.

Swift’s donation was welcomed by officials, who hope her involvement will motivate more young people to read.
