Black Eyed Peas star Taboo has thanked fans for their ongoing support as he marks the five-year anniversary of his sobriety.
The rapper, real name Jaime Luis Gomez, turned his back on booze in 2007 following a DUI arrest and he took to his blog on Tuesday to mark the milestone.

He writes, “Thanks to all my supporters on this special day. It means the world to me. 5 years of sobriety! #OneDayAtATime”.

And Taboo has an easy way to remember the anniversary – it falls on his bandmate Fergie’s birthday.

Sending his best to the singer, who turned 37 on Tuesday, he tweets, “Ha-PEA birthday to my sister, @Fergie!”
