Peter Jackson’s drama The Lovely Bones has received an unwanted accolade – it was the most complained about movie in the U.K. last year.
The film, starring Saoirse Ronan as a murdered girl who watches over her family in the afterlife, received 24 objections at the U.K. ratings body – more than any other film in 2010.

According to an annual report by British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), many film fans found The Lovely Bones “to be a shocking and upsetting experience.”

Superhero action movie Kick-Ass drew 21 complaints for its graphic violence and strong language, while Toy Story 3, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and The Princess and the Frog also attracted letters from offended filmgoers.
