Tito Jackson has confirmed there is a family plot to overthrow Michael Jackson estate administrators – and he no longer wants to be part of it.
The King of Pop’s kids and other young members of the family have been at odds with their uncles and aunts for the past week over claims their grandmother is missing and attempts made by the Thriller singer’s siblings to contest the authenticity of their brother’s will.
Last week, Tito and his siblings Janet, Randy and Jermaine added their signatures to a letter accusing Michael Jackson estate administrators John Branca and John McClain of faking the icon’s legal documents prior to his death in June 2009.
But after a Twitter feud between his niece Paris Jackson and various members of the family, which culminated with an alleged showdown at the house the kids share with their absent grandmother on Monday, Tito has washed his hands of the whole business.
In a statement to TMZ.com, he says, “I completely retract my signature from the July 17th letter sent to the Executors of my brother Michael’s estate and repudiate all the claims made against them… I don’t want any part of that letter whatsoever.”
In the letter, the Jacksons accuse Branca and McClain of failing at their job and stressing out their mother, Katherine Jackson, so badly that she suffered a “mini-stroke”.
Meanwhile, the website reports Tito’s son, TJ, is preparing legal documents so he can ask a judge to become the temporary guardian of Michael’s three kids while their grandmother is on vacation in Arizona.
