Shania Twain’s alleged stalker has been denied bail as he awaits sentencing next month.
Former doctor Giovanni Palumbo allegedly sent the singer a series of letters, made unwanted visits to her family cottage in Ontario, Canada and even attended her grandmother’s funeral.

He was arrested at an awards show earlier this year and he pleaded guilty to harassment charges on 30 September after Twain openly expressed her fear and anxiety over the situation in a live video link.

And on Wednesday Justice Richard Schneider shut down the defendant’s plea to be freed because Palumbo failed to offer up a suitable release plan.

He is due to face charges for failure to comply with a court order and criminal harassment on 15 November.
