Irish rockers U2 sailed into the record books on Sunday night as their 360 tour became the highest grossing concert trek in history.
The musicians kicked off their ambitious gigs back in Spain in 2009 and they have now broken a record set by the Rolling Stones by grossing a massive $558 million in worldwide ticket sales.

U2 reached the milestone with a show in Sao Paolo, Brazil on Sunday. The Rolling Stones previously held the record of $544 million with their Bigger Bang tour, which spanned 2005-2007.

The One hitmakers will conclude the 360 trek in Moncton, Canada on 30 July.
