The future of the third Ghostbusters movie hangs in the balance again – Sigourney Weaver insists the sequel won’t start shooting if Bill Murray doesn’t agree to be part of it.
The actress’ comments come just a month after co-star Dan Aykroyd insisted filming would begin next year with or without Murray – the only castmember from the original movie who has yet to sign up for a third film.

Weaver previously suggested writers should kill off Murray’s character, Peter Venkman, if he didn’t want to be part of the sequel, but now it seems she has changed her mind.

In an interview with Collider.com, she says, “I don’t think any of us would do it if Bill said no. Why would we do that? I think the whole point is to get together and have fun.”
