Rapper will.i.am has assured fans the Black Eyed Peas are not breaking up after Kanye West suggested the band was splitting for good during a performance in Texas.
The I Gotta Feeling hitmakers announced in July they are planning to take a hiatus once they wrap up their current world tour, but West sparked speculation the break would be a more permanent one as he played a set at the Austin City Limits Music Festival last Friday.

At the end of his song All of the Lights, which features a host of stars including Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie, he shouted out, “Rest in peace to the Black Eyed Peas. You’re gonna be missed.”

But will.i.am has taken to Twitter.com to clear up the rumours, insisting West must have been misinformed.

He writes, “maybe @kanyewest was stating the fact we will take a rest for a little bit… but we the @bep will never die…never…impossible.”
