Michelle Williams has urged fans to give new mum Beyonce time to enjoy her “precious, private” first few days with baby daughter Blue Ivy.
Gossips have been desperate to know more about Beyonce and Jay-Z’s first child, who was born in New York on Saturday, but Williams wants fans to leave her former Destiny’s Child bandmate in peace.

In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes, “This is a beautiful, precious, private time between two people and excitement is to be expected but NOT disrespect!”

Williams also took exception to followers who criticised her for not publicly tweeting well wishes, insisting she talks to Beyonce in private “all the time”.

She added, “Let’s get ONE thing straight… I do NOT have to say congrats to someone when they’re NOT on twitter… ESPECIALLY when I talk or email them all the time… or when I’ll be physically present as well… so harrassing (sic) and stalking my timeline to see if I’ve mentioned something is POINTLESS!!! My friendship with people aren’t (sic) always for twitter display. Respect that and get a LIFE!!! Enjoy this FINE day!!! God bless!!!!”
