Amy Winehouse’s film director boyfriend Reg Traviss has turned down an offer to make a movie of the late singer’s life, as the project would be too painful.
The moviemaker has been approached to film a biopic about the tragic star, who died in July after drinking too much alcohol.

However, Traviss is adamant he won’t agree to work on a film about his lover.

He tells Britain’s Sunday Mirror, “I guess a biopic is inevitable. I have been asked but I honestly don’t think I could do it. I’d be too close to it. But whoever does write and direct the film may exaggerate certain points to make it more Hollywood.

“The family would want to be involved to make sure that it’s done justice. But right now it’s all too raw.”
