Rapper Wiz Khalifa chartered a private jet to get to a gig on time after the plane he was traveling in had to make an emergency landing.
The hip-hop star was onboard a commercial airliner en route from LaGuardia Airport in New York to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Tuesday ahead of a gig at West Virginia University Coliseum in Morgantown, West Virginia that night.
However, the pilot had to make an unscheduled stop in Westchester, New York as a precaution after the plane suffered a landing gear malfunction.
Wiz Khalifa kept fans updated via Twitter.com by posting pictures of his entourage looking bored and miserable while waiting at Westchester airport.
Several hours went by before the rapper was able to continue the journey on a private jet, and he posted a picture of the group boarding the plane, with the caption, “Finally… On my way to WVU (West Virginia University).”
