Rapper Wiz Khalifa has taken legal action against concert promoters over allegations they axed a planned performance at the last minute and failed to pay him.
The hip-hop star claims executives at It’s My Party, Inc. booked him to play at George Mason University in Washington, D.C. in December, but cancelled the show without handing over his $85,000 fee.
Khalifa, who claims he was also entitled to a share of the gig’s profits, is suing the company for $1 million, according to TMZ.com.
The website reports promoters have blamed poor ticket sales for the cancellation.
